What Is ISO 45001? A Guide to Workplace Safety
Learn what ISO 45001 is, how it supports occupational health and safety management, and what UAE businesses should know about safer workplace systems.
Workplace safety certification in the UAE is no longer optional for contractors who want operator work. ISO 45001, client HSE manuals, and ADNOC or TAQA HSE reviews all ask the same underlying question: can you send people to site without improvising the controls?
Core Care implements occupational health and safety management systems that site teams can run, then uses the same evidence for certification and vendor portals.
45001 only works if it matches the permit to work
A safety manual that ignores how work is authorised will not survive an auditor who walks the site. We start with a diagnostic of incidents, legal registers, contractor control, and permit-to-work practice. The ISO 45001 processes are then written to that reality.
Risk registers, competence records, inspections, and incident learning become the evidence pack. The same statistics and policy language are aligned to operator HSE submissions so you are not maintaining two stories.
Integrate quality, environment, and safety
Most industrial clients need ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 together. An integrated system is lighter to run and cleaner in audit. On a recent oil & gas engagement we integrated the three standards into one documentation set; the audit closed without major non-conformities.
If a client or tender has asked for safety certification, message Core Care on WhatsApp. We will confirm whether you need 45001, a client HSE manual alignment, or both.
