TAQA Vendor Registration Process & Requirements

TAQA group companies buy across energy, water, and industrial services. To supply them, you typically need a vendor record on the TAQA portal and, for many categories, a completed prequalification. Teams that already hold an ADNOC vendor registration often assume the TAQA file is a copy-paste. It is not.

This guide sets out what TAQA vendor registration actually involves, where files stall, and how Core Care Consultancy prepares submissions so they survive clarification rounds.

Vendor ID first, then prequalification

Registration creates the vendor profile: legal entity, contacts, licences, and basic certificates. Prequalification is the deeper file — technical capability, HSE management, financial standing, and ISO where the category requires it. You cannot skip the first step, and completing the first step does not mean you can bid every category.

Start by confirming which TAQA entity and category you are actually targeting. A facilities contractor and an instrumentation contractor will not upload the same evidence set. Category mapping is the cheapest work we do and the one that saves the most wasted uploads.

Evidence TAQA reviewers look for

Expect to present trade licence and establishment documents, audited or attested financials, HSE policy and statistics, ISO certificates with a matching scope, method statements or capability lists, and — where relevant — ICV. The numbers must agree with each other. A financial statement that contradicts your ICV spend file will generate a clarification.

Portal checklists also change between intake windows. We complete the file to the current standard rather than last year’s spreadsheet. That is the difference between a one-week review and a profile that sits untouched.

Running TAQA and ADNOC together

Most energy contractors need both portals. The reusable pieces are licences, ISO certificates, and much of the HSE narrative. The non-reusable pieces are questionnaires, category codes, and some financial formats.
